Our clients are crypto currencies enthusiasts who wanted to make an exchange that’s more feature-rich than any other exchanges out there.

Before reaching out to us they worked with a company in Asia that failed to deliver what they envisioned.

The tech team together with the founders decided to rebuild the trading engine from scratch using a different tech stack.

They took into consideration the pros and cons of ownership vs. license over the codebase, as well as scalability, when taking the decision of re-writing the code.

The Challenge

Fast, but secure

The main challenges were related to meeting security and performance criteria, being competitive (from a UI/UX point of view) with the established exchanges and having a knowledgeable and experienced team working on the project.

Keeping up with the fintech trends and the competition meant using an agile iterative approach that allowed the project team to adjust, refine, and review development processes constantly to improve their performance.

Performance, Security and Scalability were three major concerns we had while working on this project.

We knew we had to address security and scalability in a different way so we reached out to audit specialists, external consultants and borrowed cryptocurrency related know-how from outside the organisation.

This approach helped us deliver one of the fastest exchanges, payment transfer and peer-to-peer transactional networks in the world - from the previous 10,000 transactions/ second ParamountDax now supports 2,000,000 transactions/ second.

We did all by adding cloud hosting and load balancing of each blockchain node separately into the network.

Learnings

Paramount Dax was one of the most technically challenging products we have ever built. So we learned valuable lessons doing it.

Work with companies that have experience in your product industry. Especially if that is healthcare or fintech. It's mandatory to check if the contractors are familiar with the terminology, the market, the technologies.

Take into consideration the industry and learning curve. If the agency you are working with does not have industry experience, learning takes lots of time.

Asking for external input is recommended. For complex projects it’s necessary to have a network of experts that audit and validate your product.
